Náměšť Air Base Open Day & Air Show 2026

Náměšť nad Oslavou, Czech Republic – 16 May 2026

The Náměšť Air Base Open Day & Air Show will take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026 from 09,00 a.m. The event is organized by the 22nd Helicopter Air Force Base Sedlec, Vícenice near Náměšť nad Oslavou, in cooperation with the Military Aviation Association and with the support of key partners. The General Partner of the 2026 edition is ČEPRO, a.s.

The Open Day is one of the largest military aviation events in the Czech Republic and attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year, including aviation enthusiasts, professionals, representatives of public life and families with children. The event aims to present the capabilities of the Czech Armed Forces, allied air forces and partner security services, while highlighting the role of aviation in national and international security.


Ground Program and Static Displays

The morning program will include:

  • A live performance by the Military Band Olomouc
  • A ceremonial display by the Honour Guard of the Prague Garrison Headquarters
  • Demonstrations by the 225th Combat Support Squadron, including service dog and bird of prey training and close combat techniques
  • A dynamic simulated intervention by the Czech Prison Service

Static displays will present a wide range of air and ground equipment of the Czech Air Force and Army, including the CASA C‑295, L‑159, UH‑1Y Venom, AH‑1Z Viper, Leopard 2A4, BVP‑2, Dingo armored vehicle, and Scan Eagle UAV.

Flying Display and Official Opening

The program will feature a four-hour flying display with dynamic aerial demonstrations by the Czech Air Force and its international partners.

Shortly after 11:00 a.m., the Open Day will be officially opened by a helicopter flypast including:

  • UH‑1Y Venom
  • AH‑1Z Viper
  • Mi‑171 Sh
  • EC‑665 Tiger (Spain)

The ceremonial opening will be followed by a mass parachute jump with national flags from an Mi‑171Sh helicopter.


International Participation and Aerial Highlights

The flying and static program will include aircraft and helicopters from Slovakia and Spain, such as:

  • UH‑60M Black Hawk (Slovakia)
  • NH‑90 and EC‑665 Tiger (Spain)

Pilots from the Centre of Aviation Training in Pardubice will present the L‑39 NG and En‑480 aircraft. Helicopter aerobatics will be performed by AH‑1S Cobra pilots from Heli Czech, which will also provide scenic helicopter flights for the public using Robinson R‑44 and MD 500E helicopters.

A special highlight will be the appearance of the L‑29 Delfín, a historic jet trainer once operated from Náměšť Air Base.


Accompanying Program

Visitors will also be able to attend accompanying exhibitions, including:

  • BESIP traffic safety presentation
  • TOYOTA GAZOO RACING CZECH, featuring the Dakar TOYOTA HILUX GR with driver Tomáš Ouředníček
  • An exhibition by FlyinDiamonds, operator of the UAV Technology Park in Moravské Budějovice, the first shared drone testing facility in the Czech Republic

A dedicated children’s program will be available throughout the day.
